We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Policy explains how and why we collect, use, hold and disclose personal information. You consent to us collecting, holding, using and disclosing your personal information in accordance with this Policy.
EJD Advisory respects and is committed to protecting all clients, customers, suppliers, employees, contractors, and associate's privacy and privacy rights. Pursuant to Privacy Act 1988 (Cwlth), we handle all personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), unless otherwise permitted at law, and this includes how we collect, access, share, store and use personal and sensitive information.
We acknowledge that management and security of personal and sensitive information is paramount, and we confirm we will take all reasonable steps to advise you where we have collected your personal information, what we will use it for, who will have access to it, the circumstances upon which we may be obliged to disclose it to a third party, how you can correct or amend our records and how you can access the personal information we hold.
How We Collect Personal Information and Why
We may collect, hold and use personal information gained from you during the course of our business operations, when you contact us via our website, via phone, in person or via email, to the extent necessary so that we can provide our services, conduct conflict checks, manage our relationship with you and comply with our obligations at law and to any regulator, law enforcement body or auditor. The Types of Personal Information We Could Collect
The type of personal information we collect from you depends on the nature of your engagement with us. This personal information could include:
- Confirmation of your identity and/or your contact information including your full name, postal and email address, telephone number, date of birth, marital status, job details or job title, your Australian tax file number, superannuation details and your passport or medicare number.
- Your employment details including payroll, referee reports, performance management, redundancy and termination decisions, workers’ compensation records, workplace health and safety records, bank account details or financial records.
- Any other information contained in correspondence with you.
You can at all times, refuse to supply any requested information however, we advise that this may impact our ability to progress your employment application or to undertake work for you or otherwise engage in business.
Storage and Disclosure
We collect and hold personal information about our clients, customers, suppliers, employees, contractors, and other professional associates within our computer systems operated by us or external service providers, or in paper format.
We may disclose personal information collected by us, to our external service providers, as and to the extent required to support the performance and delivery of their services. We may also disclose personal information collected and held by us to the extent required by law, where you have consented to such disclosure, or your consent could be reasonably inferred, in order to fulfil our regulatory or legal obligations, or as we are otherwise permitted by the Privacy Act.
Website Use
When you use our website, we may measure certain navigation data including how many people visit our website, the pages visited, time spent and information reviewed, and server or IP address. We track this information through the use of cookies. You may configure your personal preferences with regard to cookies on your own browser.
Security Measures
We will take reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify personal information once we no longer require it for the purposes for which it was collected or for any secondary purpose permitted under the APPs.
Updating Our Records
Should you wish to access your personal or sensitive information held by us or to request that we update, correct or amend our records containing your personal or sensitive information as our records are inaccurate, incomplete, irrelevant, misleading or otherwise out of date, please contact admin@ejdadvisory.com.au and we will take reasonable steps to update and correct our records.
We will respond to any request for access to our records of your personal information within a reasonable period of time. In most cases we will comply with such request, unless we are prohibited from doing so, as mandated at law, in which case we will provide you with a written reason why.

We will respond to complaints within a reasonable period of time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can also contact our CIient Satisfaction Officer to discuss your concerns or lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
We reserve our rights to update and review this Policy from time to time, and as otherwise required by law.
